Whitney Cummings is an American comedian, actress and producer. She is best known as the creator of the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls and the NBC sitcom Whitney, appearing in the lead role of the latter. Cummings was a producer and writer for the ABC revival of Roseanne.

Best friend is Ginnifer Goodwin.
Before acting, she interned at WRC-TV, the NBC owned-and-operated station in Washington, D.C., where she was a multi-media journalist.
